How to add Classtime as a trusted app in Google Workspace for Education

Starting October 23, 2023, Google Workspace for Education is introducing changes that may affect your students' access to Classtime.

Users designated as under 18 won't be able to access third-party apps that haven't been reviewed and confirmed. If no action is taken, students will be blocked from using their school-administered Google credentials to sign into apps that teachers count on.


To avoid potential disruption for your classrooms, it's critical that your IT approves Classtime as a trusted application. Classtime must be configured as trusted before October 23, 2023.

How do I add Classtime as a trusted app?

If you are the Google Workspace for Education administrator for your school or district, follow the instructions to review and confirm your app access control settings.

  1. Log in to your Google Workspace for Education admin account.

  2. Navigate to the Admin console and click on Security.

  3. From the Security menu, select Access and data control, then API Controls.

  4. Under "Third-party apps," click on "Manage third-party access."

  5. Click on the "+ Trusted" button and search for "Classtime"

  6. Select Classtime from the search results and click "Add."
